Enzo’s Story
Growth often begins with small but meaningful changes, and Enzo’s journey at PUPA Center reflects that process. When Enzo first joined PUPA Mandiri, he showed strong preferences for structure and routine. Unexpected changes (such as schedule adjustments or delays in pick-up time) could be difficult for him and often led to frustration. With consistent support and guided practice, Enzo gradually learned to respond to changes with greater flexibility. Over time, he developed stronger emotional regulation and adaptability, allowing him to manage unexpected situations more calmly and independently.
As Enzo became more comfortable navigating daily routines, his creative interests began to shine. He enjoys drawing, painting, singing, and baking. His artwork has been displayed during several PUPA events. Among these interests, baking emerged as an area where Enzo’s strengths became especially visible. During group baking sessions in PUPA’s large group activities, Enzo demonstrated strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured instructions effectively, while showing genuine enthusiasm throughout the process.
Recognizing this combination of strength and interest, PUPA Center provided opportunities for Enzo to further develop his skills through PUPA Bites, our business unit that produces baked goods for seasonal hampers, such as Christmas and Eid celebrations. Enzo became one of the core team members involved in production. He is now able to independently complete baking procedures, maintain structured workflows, and contribute to maintaining product quality and consistency within the team. He was also invited to visit a kindergarten to introduce the profession of a baker, where he confidently demonstrated his abilities and interacted with young students.
Within PUPA activities, Enzo has stepped into leadership roles during group baking sessions by leading demonstrations, managing his own workstation, and guiding peers who work collaboratively. Outside of PUPA Center, Enzo continues to expand his learning experiences by supporting his family’s café business and participating in barista training as part of his vocational exploration. These experiences also reflect his growing confidence. Once hesitant to perform or express himself in front of others, Enzo now confidently showcases his talents and participates actively in group activities.
Enzo’s journey highlights the importance of recognizing individual strengths and creating meaningful opportunities for those strengths to grow. Through structured guidance, supportive environments, and opportunities to practice his skills, Enzo continues to grow into a confident and empowered individual, embracing opportunities to express and develop his full potential.
