Hari’s Story

Hari’s journey at PUPA Center began with a strong commitment to building his independence and prepare for the world of work. Over the course of three years in PUPA Center’s job preparation training program, Hari actively participated in structured learning experiences designed to help him develop practical skills, confidence, and self-understanding. Throughout this period, Hari demonstrated steady progress while engaging in various work simulations that introduced him to real workplace responsibilities. He gained hands-on experience through activities such as snack packaging production and mask strap manufacturing, where he practiced task organization, attention to detail, teamwork, and productivity skills.

As Hari transitioned into the work-readiness phase of the program, he further developed his ability to think creatively and plan for future opportunities. One of his key projects involved designing a business plan centered around educational flash cards that teach step-by-step life skills. These flash cards included practical daily living routines such as making the bed, mopping floors, and completing other structured household tasks. Hari not only conceptualized the product but also created a formal business proposal, presented his ideas, and collaborated with his division team to produce the learning materials. Through this experience, Hari strengthened his communication, leadership, and project development skills.

During his time in the Work Readiness program, Hari was given the opportunity to participate in an internship at a company through one of PUPA Center’s partner companies. Hari completed a five-month internship in the Customer Care division, where he learned to navigate professional expectations, workplace communication, and service-oriented responsibilities. With ongoing support and guidance, Hari demonstrated dedication and adaptability while building confidence in interacting within a professional setting.

Following the completion of his internship, Hari continued his professional journey by working as an English teacher at a school, where he remains employed today. In addition to his teaching role, Hari also contributes as a part-time team member at PUPA Center, supporting the development of educational and training materials used in participant learning programs. His continued involvement reflects both his professional growth and his desire to give back to a community that supported his journey.

Hari’s story highlights the meaningful outcomes that can be achieved through consistent support, structured learning, and opportunities for real-world experience. His journey shows how individuals can grow into roles where they not only build independence but also contribute positively to their communities. When dedication meets opportunity and collaborative support, success becomes a shared achievement that extends beyond employment.
